Stories From Home: Yemen
These photos below were taken during my recent trip to Yemen, my first time back after being away for 10 years.

Returning after a decade felt like stepping into a memory I had kept tucked away, both familiar and changed. Each photo holds a piece of what it means to come home again.
Yemen is often misunderstood. Even I, a son of its soil, once failed to understand it. But now I get it. I get it as a place—and I get why it’s misunderstood.
The key to understanding places is feeling them, not just seeing them. This selection could never do the place full justice, but I’d like to think it carries enough vigor to translate much of that feeling—a feeling of simplicity, kindness, resilience, and culture.
